Illustrated with no less than 120 leaves of plates, this 2-volume set is devoted to the exposure, processing and recording of archaeological remains at the Romano-Nubian cemetery of Karanòg, a Kushite town in Lower Nubia, on the west bank of the Nile. The town was probably a provincial capital under its own peshto (governor) in the second and third centuries AD. It was excavated between 1907 and 1910 by the authors of this work.
