From the Cadell and Davies papers, the two books referred to having been published by the firm for Campbell: 'A reply to the strictures of the Edinburgh Review, on the foreign policy of Marquis Wellesley's administration in India' (1807) and 'A letter addressed to a member of the present Parliament on the "Articles of Charge" against Marquis Wellesley' (1808).
Eigenhändiges Schriftstück mit Unterschrift. Er genehmigt dem Garde du Corps Monsieur de ROZIER, der gerade aus Paris ankommt, dass er sich wie von ihm gewünscht den sich in der Normandie befindenden Gardes du Corps (?) anschließen darf. Nur drei Tage zuvor hatte die Schlacht von Waterloo den Krieg zugunsten des Königs Louis XVIII. entschieden.

Capitaine der Gardes du Corps (in Familientradition!), Lieutenant Général, Gouverneur von Versailles. 1789 als Vertreter des Adels von Amiens und Ham in die Generalstände gewählt. Wegen eines Du…ells mit dem Kommandeur der Nationalgarde in Versailles wurde er zum Rücktritt genötigt. Er verließ zeitweise das Land - kehrte aber bald zurück und nahm an der Revolution vom 10. August 1792 teil. Um nicht wie seine Eltern guillotiniert zu werden, verließ er abermals das Land. 1800 kehrte er zurück und lebte während des Kaiserreichs zurückgezogen auf seinem Gut in Mouchy. 1815 begleitete er während der Hundert Tage König Louis XVIII. in sein Exil in GENT.
