Pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout, heavier at end-papers, paste-downs and text-block edges. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout however binding remains reasonably firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Unclipped jacket has moderate edge-wear with chips, tears and creasing. Split in two at the spine. Foxed.

A collection of poems published previously in The Poet magazine of Scotland, including work by Harry Crouch, Frank Erskine, Mamie Griffiths, Eleanor Paddon and others. This was the first year of the magazine's publication. Tipped in is a small booklet containing poems by Paddon. GOOD+ condition. Uneven fading and minor soiling to the covers. Minor bumping along the extremities. Thin line of staining to the rear endpapers. Paper browned. Previous bookseller's heavy handed markings in pencil to the inside front cover. Pencil asterisks next to Paddon's name in the index.
