Hardcover. Zustand: Near fine condition. First edition. Oblong Quarto. 119 (1)pp. Original photo-illustrated boards with orange and yellow lettering on cover and spine. Yellow endpapers. Frontispiece photograph. Inscribed "Marla thank you for your help in bringing my career back, Bill Owens." "Bill Owen's photographic sensibility is straightforward and direct. He approached the subject of suburbia and its inhabitants in an almost non-descript style. This neutrality is, of course, deceptive. Collectively, the photographs reveal a highly subjective and complex narrative viewpoint. The pictures oscillate between irony and admiration, absurdity and sadness, and truth and fiction." (Crewdson). Illustrated with color and b/w photographs. Minor wear along edges of binding and very lightly rubbed.

hardcover. Zustand: As New. Prima edizione (First Edition). Introduzione di Joyce Carol Oates. 47 fotografie a colori di Gregory Crewdson. Un'intervista all'artista a cura di Cate Blanchett . Cm 25x33,5. pp. 180. . Perfetto (Mint). . Prima edizione (First Edition). . Alone Street riunisce due importanti lavori di Gregory Crewdson, Cathedral of the Pines (Aperture, 2016) e An Eclipse of Moths (Aperture, 2020), in un'unica monografia. Book.

Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Very Good-. *This is a large book and may incur extra postage for international orders. ; "Beneath the Roses" contains the complete set of images from Gregory Crewdson's new series of photographs, made between 2003 and 2007. Unclipped dust jacket shows a faint bit of edge wear, with the light beginnings of a curl and some very light rubbing from shelf life, though no tears, splits, or loss, and this is hardly noticeable; light blue pressed paper boards with white titling sharp and sturdy with no damage or notable wear; binding tight, square, and secure; pages glossy and unmarked with little-to-no sign of previous ownership. Essay by Russell Banks. As in his earlier "Twilight" series, each elaborately choreographed image depicts an emotionally heightened moment in which something very important (although we never quite know what) seems to have happened or is about to happen. Like film stills from unmade movies, these photographs portray mysterious unknowable stories which are reduced to a single, static, highly charged image. This book also includes source materials, production photographs, lighting charts, sketches and architectural plans, which give the viewer a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of his elaborately staged photographs. ; 41.6 X 30 X 4.5 centimeters; 140 pages.
