Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - What would you do to protect the lives of the ones you love The Pearl is the third book in the Child of the King series. The Pearl takes Anya and her companions to another nation in her world, The Islands. The Pearl begins with Anya and her companions being saved from pirates by the mysterious sea captain of the Respice ad Bonum. Later, on the main island, Tradail, she heals the son of one of Drocha's captains, Comyn, who pledges allegiance to the King and fights to protect her from those in the island nation who would take her life. Anya has a premonition of a calamity that threatens to destroy the nation. She risks her life to save a group of children from a giant wave but must watch as her horse, Niveus, is swept out to sea. Finally, the island adventure provides healing for Eamon's troubled past. Dr. James H. Crane has a B.A. in Physics and Math from William Jewell College, a Ph.D. in Physics from Washington University in St. Louis, and a Masters in Geology from the University of Houston. James spent the bulk of his career exploring for oil and gas for small independents as a geophysical consultant with his company, Gulf Coast 3-D. James has been married to his wife, Barb, for 43 years, has four children, and eleven grandchildren. The Pearl is the third book in a four-part series intended to provide adventure fiction with Christian symbolism.

Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - Do you ever wonder if your life has purpose and value The Opal is the second book in the Child of the King series. In the first book, The Sapphire, Anya, the Child of the King, is sent away in secret to the West to protect her life from Drocha and his followers who mounted a coup against the Royal Family. When her Royal secret is accidentally revealed, she makes her way back home to The Island of the King with help from her personal protector, Eamon, her canine companion, Maor, and a host of the King's Guardians. In the second book, Anya must balance the need for safety with the need to visit the four nations of the world that she will one day rule. The Opal begins with the wreck of one of the King's ships carrying Anya, Eamon, and Maor, on a secret mission to the South. The trio survive the wreck and journey to a small island where they find a lone castaway, Hern, a poor cripple who has a mysterious connection to both Anya and Eamon. Anya uses her special powers of communication with her mother, the Queen, to orchestrate their escape from the island, and they travel to Port Douglas to reunite Hern with his daughter, Abbey, who captures Eamon's affections. After learning of an underground slave trade in Muir, they then go on an adventure to rescue Eamon's long-lost sister, Nora, free the South from the clutches of Drocha's ruthless captain, Doran, and ultimately reveal Hern's true purpose.

Neuware - What would you do when the life of your only child and the fate of the world hang in the balance The Child of the King: The Sapphire takes place in a magical world ruled by a benevolent King and Queen. When the Royal Palace is attacked by the villain, Drocha, and his minions, the King and Queen decide to send their only Child into hiding in a distant land to protect her life and preserve the Royal bloodline. The young Child, Anya, is accompanied by a personal bodyguard, Eamon, who uses his special powers to protect her from those seeking to take her life. When Anya grows older, Eamon tells her of her true identity and together they work to keep their Royal secret from friends and foes alike. Anya's secret is accidentally revealed to the public, forcing her, Eamon, and her loyal canine companion, Maor, to attempt a trek back to the relative safety of the Island of the King. The journey, though, won't be easy, as the governor of that region wants to take the Child captive. Even with the help of Guardians sent by the King, the heroes face overwhelming odds-odds that they know they must overcome to finally bring the Child home to the Palace where she belongs.

Collection comprised of: History of Joseph; Pictures of English History: From the Druids to Magna Charta; The Farm Yard Alphabet; The Sleeping Beauty in the Wood; The Three Bears. All editions are very scarce and bound in the publisher's original coloured soft covers. Each work features six chromolithographic plates. Collated, complete. Undated, dated from copies held by the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford Libraries. A pleasing selection of George Routledge & Sons' "Shilling Toy Books". The series presents an exciting range of children's tales, illustrated by eminent illustrators, such as Walter Crane, Harrison Weir and Frederick William Keyl, and printed in colour by the Leighton Brothers, Dalziel Brothers and Kronheim & Co. In the publisher's original coloured soft covers. Contemporary signature to the front cover of Sleeping Beauty and to the first pages of History of Joseph and The Three Bears. Externally, generally smart and good examples for their age. All texts are affected by shelf wear, specifically a number of tears and some small chips to the edges, most notably to the spines, leaving the bindings fragile and causing vulnerability to the covers. The covers of English History and Farm Yard Alphabet are especially delicate. Also visible discolouration and spotting to all wraps. Internally, delicately bound, particularly to the covers. Pages spotted and aged throughout. Good Only. H. S. Marks; J. D. Watson; H. Weir; F. Keyl; Walter Crane; E. G. D.; Dalziel Brothers; Kronheim & Co.; Leighton Brothers; Vincent Brooks (illustrator). book.
