Interior with some occasional sporadic minor to light pencil markings and/or smudges. Book blocks tight overall. Scarce. *Marie "Rie" Cramer (1887-1977) was a Dutch writer and illustrator of children's books. The prolific writer's work is considered icon in terms of style for the interwar period. Educated from 1905-1907 at the Royal academy of Art, she was one of the main illustrators for the Dutch children's magazine "Zonneschijn" (Sunshine). She also wrote plays under the pseudonym "Marc Holman".
