Paris, Fortin, Masson, 1842. 8vo. 163 pp. Original printed boards. = Signed by one of the authors on the half title, a dedication to the professor of natural history and director of the botanical garden in Montpellier, France, Charles Frédéric Martins (1806-1889). Boards browned towards the spine; small damp stain in the top margin of a few leaves, otherwise very good, clean. Stafleu and Cowan, 1238.

Spine with gilt lines and morocco labels with gilt title. Marbled endpapers. = The first of three editions. With a peculiar, round map of the environments of Paris. Stafleu and Cowan: "still regarded as the best available flora of the Paris region". Some scattered foxing and a few ink spots. A very good, attractively bound copy. Stafleu and Cowan 1240.
