The first volumes is bound in half leather. The leather corners and spine are much worn, scuffed, marked. The boards are much worn and marked from storage. Despite their shabbiness, the boards and spine are confident and sound. The other volumes are bound in red cloth covered boards. These too have wear about the edges, corners and faces from shelving, storage. They too are sound and sure. The magazines themselves are in excellent condition. Even now the contents are utterly engaging and relatable. The opinion, news and gossip-cum-anecdotes are enthralling with their immediacy. The pages are fresh, new, clean, clear, consistently confident, neat, tight, certain, much more than competent.
