Fairly ugly exterior but overall a very good(-) copy of this uncommon book.

A fine photographic essay of the Mexican archaeological sites in Chiapas, Yucatan, Tabasco, Oaxaca and Puebla with excellent views of the ruins, as well as some photographs of antiquities in the author's collection. No further volumes were published. Top and bottom of spine frayed, lower corners slightly bumped, a very nice copy of the first edition in the publisher's olive cloth. Publisher's cloth with gilt lettering on front cover and spine. Notwithstanding the fact that most pages have some slight foxing spots still a good/fine copy in the fine original binding. Describes the ruins in the provinces of Chiapas , Yucatan , Tabasco , Oaxaca , Puebla. A second volume was planned and annouced but this did never materialise.
