The book contains 30 photographs, mostly in color. "I want to be a voice for the unfamous people," says Mark. "Whether it's a guy in Miami Beach who goes to a dance or it's someone who's dying in Ethiopia, they're the unfamous people that I care about. I feel a certain purity in them that's real, and I want to document their lives.".

It may be the slant of the light, it may be even a small, something not visible; you may feel yourself rooted to the spot where suddenly there's a smell of salt water mixed with roses, and it's got your number.".
