Starting from London on the 10th of August 1829, the author makes his way from Russia to Tabriz and thence to Tehran in Iran. It is from here that he starts his narrative in detail. The two were executed by the Emir of Bukhara, Nasrullah Khan in 24 June 1842 on charges of spying for the British Empire. They were both beheaded in the square in front of the Ark Fortress in Bukhara.
