Los bienes comunes no son una creación espontánea, sino arreglos jurídicos y sociopolíticos que cristalizan históricamente junto a las instituciones políticas y a distintas prácticas económicas. Por ello, solo pueden constituir el tercer vértice de una tríada irreconciliable en la medida en que concebimos 'lo público' y 'lo privado' de un modo contrapuesto, estanco y abstracto, rehén del marco conceptual y de la coyuntura interpretativa dominante de nuestra época. -- Disputar 'lo público' y 'lo privado' en sentido destituyente para tratar de instituir modos más democráticos de producir, administrar y distribuir recursos es una necesidad acuciante en un momento en que el capitalismo no solo se ha arrogado los medios de producción, sino también el significado de muchos conceptos que conforman el campo semántico de los movimientos emancipatorios.
