Zustand: Good. 8vo. Various pagings. Contains the cast list of the plays. Jane is a small trifold. Rip van Winkle is a large trifold, with a farce The Fast Coach preceding it. The Marionettes by Pierre Wolff was produced shortly after Edward the Seventh's death dated 1911 in pencil. Preserving Mr. Panmure by Arthur Wing Pinero is about 1911 or 1912 and in dated in pencil 1911 with some browning.

Vintage Tad Baker's Loon Show Presents 'The Championship of Disgust!' poster, from the 1990 performance at San Francisco's Ye Rose and Thistle, 9:31 pm, Friday, April 27, 1990. A cross between sketch comedy and performance art, Uncle Tad Baker's Loon Show was an improvised and outrageous comedy show intent on offending and irritating an audience armed with tomatoes. As advertised on the poster on offer here, "The only show in the world where the audience is the judge . and it's with tomatoes!" Baker brought his subversive brand of deviant and anarchistic improvisation and audience retaliation to the San Francisco area throughout the 1980s and 1990s. A dvd of one of Baker's performances was released as "Uncle Tad Baker's Loon Show: The Movie: Trial By Tomato!" in 2011. San Francisco's Ye Rose and Thistle was a popular bar and performance venue located at 1634 California Street in the 1980s and 1990s. 11 x 17 inches. Near Fine, with a few small pinholes at the corners.

In good condition, lightly aged. Writing to MP at the Evening News, London. 'There has [sic] been quite a few remarks passed by critics of the "paucity" of Acts in the Variety profession. My Act, which comprises good clean comedy and expert musicianship, is one of the most successful Acts from "an audience point of view", in the business to-day, and obviously what audiences want.' MP could 'ascertain the truth' of this statement by visiting the forthcoming show at Collins' Musical Hall. He concludes: 'Owing to the "paucity" of the right recognition, we are contemplating leaving the country shortly to try and find recognition on the Continent.'.
