Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - Love Letters from the Edge is a powerful collection of poetic works that traverse the emotional terrain of love, loss, and perseverance through the eyes of a Puerto Rican-American veteran, father, husband, and deeply reflective man. With raw honesty and lyrical grace, the poet explores what it means to straddle two worlds-navigating the quiet war of identity as a brown-skinned Latino in a society that often demands assimilation over authenticity. From memories of military service and fatherhood's quiet triumphs to the ache of cultural disconnection and the search for belonging, each poem pulses with lived experience. The verses are both intimate and universal, unflinching in their confrontation of racism, patriarchy, trauma, and resilience. At its core, this is a story of survival-not just through a quest for acceptance or societal pressure, but through the everyday fight to hold on to love, culture, and self.Love Letters from the Edge is a poetic testimony to what it means to be caught between ethnic and cultural experiences, between expectations, and between versions of oneself-and to still rise with strength, with softness, and with purpose.…
