The narrator of this outre novel is a doctor who, when called upon to treat a very ill little girl, finds that his patient is inflenced by a mysterious, unknown presence that lurks on the other side of the blue wall of her room. The book has alternately classified as a mystery, a supernatural, or a horror book. it has achieved something of a cult following and was reprinted in the 21st century in paperback.
