Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Good. 1st Edition. OLD GODS AND YOUNG HEROES MAYAN CERAMICS COE & KERR 1982 1ST HC DJ. I am pleased to offer an interesting hard cover book titled: Old Gods and Young Heroes The Pearlman Collection of Maya Ceramics with text by Michael D. Coe and photographs by Justin Kerr. This large-sized and oblong hard cover book (12 ¼ x 9 ½ inches 128 pages) was published by The Israel Museum in Jerusalem dated Spring 1982 and the First Edition. What makes this book intriguing is: As part of the process of understanding the vases Justin Kerr developed and build a camera which literally unrolls the vases so that they can be studied more easily. Wait until you see the photographs that have been unrolled. This book is bound in matte black boards with bright red titles on cover and spine and is protected by a pictorial dust jacket. The book is as you would expect very well illustrated with many photo images of Mayan Ceramics in both b&w and color. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The dust jacket is a bit dust-dulled and lightly rubbed particularly on the corners, albeit without serious tears or chips. The hard covers are a bit dust-dulled as well but generally presentable and handsome; the bright red titles stand out. Inside the book is unmarked and the pages and plates are bright and clean throughout. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.
