Lewis… never met his correspondent, whose identity is not revealed, but over the course of their 13-year correspondence, he shared with her his thoughts on theology and ethics, advised on her planned conversion to Roman Catholicism, as well as intimate details about his life as he embarked on a late marriage to a woman who was already suffering from the cancer which would kill her only 3 years later. First published in USA 1967, and in the UK in 1969.
