Green Hardback. Zustand: Very Good. First Edition. 1912. First edition. 310pp., 6 colour plates, 27 black and white plates and a map. The Brenner Pass is a mountain pass through the Alps which forms the border between Italy and Austria. It is one of the principal passes of the Eastern Alpine range and has the lowest altitude among Alpine passes of the area. This book contains notes, memories, and impressions of the author after twenty visits to Tirol, spread over an equal number of years. She describes the towns, villages, people and countryside around the Brenner Pass. It includes chapters in Kufstein, Rattenberg, Jenbach, Innsbruck, Brixen, Bozen, Meran, and Trent. The book is bound in the original green cloth covered boards with gold titling on the spine and a gold emblem on the front board. The case of the book is in very good condition with some shelf wear on the boards and slight fading to the spine. The bottom corners and top of the spine arr slightly bumped. The contents are tight and clean although most of the pages show some foxing. The foxing is generally light to moderate with a few pages, including the title page, being more heavily affected. The edges of the text block are also foxed and this has seeped into the margins of some pages. There is a name and date (1913) together with an address written on the front free endpaper. J.F.
