He successfully overcame the colonial shackles on science and went on to become the prophet of a parallel science in India. The first exponent of wireless communication and life in plants he had to struggle to come out of the periphery of imperial science into the mainstream of world science. He became the founder of the Bose Research Institute a pioneering research seminary in basic sciences for Indian.
