Hard pictorial boards with a little rubbing/chipping to edges/spine, some soiling/scuffing. Contents fair with some soiling/creasing. Charming colour and B&W illustrations throughout. Cover design by Harold Ernshaw shows a boy riding a motorcycle with a girl in the sidecar. A collection of stories and poems for children by the likes of Harold Avery, S B Owsley, Hawley Morgan, Ethel Talbot, J B Selkirk, M Wynne, Alice Sophia Jackson and Christine Chaundler. Illustrators include George E Studdy, Hawley Morgan, Lawson Wood, Arch Webb, Harold C Earnshaw and Peter Fraser. One of the illustrations by Studdy looks very much like his most famous creation, Bonzo. Scarce.

Very good book in pictorial board covers somewhat faded to spine; front cover shows a young boy and a girl chasing a dog who makes off with a skipping rope. Internally very good; dedication to flyleaf with faint traces of owner's details;; profusely illustrated in black and white with fifteen full colour plates [all present]; binding tight; a little foxing to prelims, but very little thereafter; traces of highlighting to contents page. A very sound copy.

Undated, but 1921 - 'ninth year' - with numerous colour and B&W illustrations; tightly bound in pictorial boards with illustrated cloth spine; discolouration and wear to edges and corners; paper surface worn in patches, especially on back panel. Page fore-edges browned. Internally, front paste-down and endpaper yellowed and inscribed by owners; a few discolouration spots scattered throughout; some colouring in of B&W illustrations; otherwise, an interesting, readable book. Used - Acceptable. Fair hardback.

Frontispiece and 11 colour plates including Thomas Henry, H.M., C.E. And R.F. Brock, Frank Adams. Numerous black and white illustrations by Thomas Henry, the Brocks and others. Authors include Harold Avery, Talbot, Marchant and R.H. Goodyear. Spine rubbed, affecting image, corners rubbed and very slightly bumped, no inscriptions, slight fingermarks to some margins.
