Paul-Louis Chigot [1906-1978] devint professeur de chirurgie pédiatrique à la Faculté de médecine de Paris, chef de service à l'hôpital Trousseau, créateur d'une véritable école de traumatologie infantile ; il contribua "largement à la diffusion que devait prendre l'enclouage centro-médullaire dans le traitement des fractures des os longs" [R. First edition. A scarce album. Folder containing a title and 25 sheets of stiff card. Signed by the publisher to the verso of the title, with a stamped number 80 (limitation unknown). Green hardback with a facsimile of Chigot's signature. Decorated with gilt titles, with the artist's photo pasted on; title sheet in red and black and decorated with a vignette of the author. The covers are a little rubbed, but sound. The sheets themselves are in good condition, but slightly darkened. 33.5cm x 25.5cm. .
