Colour plates and descriptions of 136 exhibits include block printed illustrations from popular books and official gazettes, religious treatises and sutras and New Years prints, also a number of examples of carved wooden blocks used in print-making and a small section on the revival of the art in modern times. Of particular interest are images taken from some 333 surviving blocks held in various public and private collections on Taiwan. Concludes with six scholarly essays, all bilingual Chinese/English.
