FIRST EDITION, pp. 222, crown 8vo, original beige cloth, the lettering to upper board and backstrip in black against a red ground, the backstrip browned and a little worn at tips, some patches of light waterstaining around foot of cloth, top edge red, endpapers slightly browned, dustjacket a little chipped and rubbed at extremities, with corresponding faint waterstain around foot, very good. With a later inscription to the flyleaf by two of the contributors, Richard Eberhart and John Cheever, to Jack and Bernice Fein - Eberhart dating his inscription to 'the fall of 1979'. A selection of short stories, essays and poetry by younger writers - including W.H. Auden, Elizabeth Bishop, and Muriel Rukeyser.
