Currently, with the very drastic reduction in the airship organization following V-J Day, there are no blimps operating from South Weymouth. the only airship squadron left on the Atlantic Coast now bases at the Naval Air Station, Lakehurst. I am glad to see that the committee confirmed what we air shippers have always realized. the advantages possessed by the airship for slow, deliberate inspection of the surface from a low, elevated platform."
