Dated when Cairns was 17 at Baltimore City College (high school). Huntington Cairns was an an author, former federal censor and one-time secretary of the National Gallery of Art. His book 'The Limits of Art was praised by the The New York Times as "perhaps the best anthology of this or any other generation."
