Written by Australian inventor, engineer and author, Elfric Wells Chalmers Kearney, whose work was largely focused on railway engineering, being the managing director of the Kearney Railway Construction Company. Kearney actively promoted monorail technology, giving lectures and writing a book on the subject. 'Erone' was his only novel, with its aim being to popularise the notion of monorail transport. This novel presents a love story surrounded by wonderous cities of the future, being a paradise for engineers and architects, while showing the population an image of a tremendous and inspiring times to come.Illustrated with a bright frontispiece, in colour.
