The title page is detached and there is a crack to the gutter at that spot with a likewise detached index sheet in the rear. Large hardcover trade catalog illustrating and describing physical apparatus and instruments, including tools and raw materials, from the Central Scientific Company, copyrighted 1929. Dark green cloth covered boards with title and company logo embossed. 602 pages, measuring 8 x 11 inches in size. Light green endpapers. The title page has a large stamp across the bottom from the Central Scientific Company, which partially bled to the preceding page. Page 2 has a library stamp in the left hand corner and page 3 has small library markings in pencil. The hinge between these two pages is cracked but all pages remain attached. At the rear of the volume, about 50 pages have some water damage at the base of the spine, measuring 1.5" from each side. This area is lightly stained and wavy. There is light rubbing to the boards and shelf wear; the cloth is beginning to fray at the edges of the spine, corners, and at the hinges. Binding is strong with otherwise clean and unmarked pages.

Contains brief descriptions and list prices for a large variety of instruments, including those for chemical, industrial, metallurgical, bacteriological, biological, board of health, hospital and soil testing laboratories. With black & white illustrations. The boards have some shelf wear, with the cloth beginning to fray at the edges of the spine. The corners are bumped. The cloth has some smudging on both sides. Binding is square and tight. Pages are clean and unmarked. This is an ex-library copy. There is a catalog sticker on the spine, and two pages bear a blind stamp from Iowa State Library. The front attached end paper also has a bookplate from the library.
