Rare first edition of this important conversion narrative by Cornelius Cayley (1727-1779), containing a memoir of his dissipated youth in London ("few persons in that great metropolis pursued a larger round of pleasures than what I did"), his unsuccessful attempts at adhering to the Anglican Church, and his eventual conversion in 1751 inspired by the preaching of George Whitefield.
