Very good copy. Match fishing with the pole, by an acknowledged expert, and winner of many matches, at home and abroad. "Dickie Carr, from Cheshunt in Hertfordshire, began fishing at the age of nine. He has won more than 150 matches, and he first fished for England in Luxemburg in 1977, and was again selected for the England squad in 1983. His best match weight was 191lb 6oz in the P&O Classic, and he has had many other weights over 100lb. Dickie has won the Sankey Championship, the ABU Spectacular, the 1982 Lea Championship and two other major river championships; the 1983 Home International, the King of Clubs, and the Bass Championships in Ireland and in his last seven recent festivals in Ireland he has been in the prize money in every one. Obviously, with this record, Dickie is rightfully regarded as one of the best pole anglers in the country and in this book he unselfishly passes on his expertise." Chapters include: History of pole fishing; Types of poles and their fittings; Pole fishing accessories; Baits for pole fishing; Floats and float set-ups; Fishing methods and bait variations; Pole fishing experiences; Dickie Carr's open match record; World Championship results. .…
