"This is the first facsimile of his writing manual containing his own recuttings of examples from the manuals of Sigismondo Fanti, Arrighi and Tagliente. Da Carpi also includes the Abbaco of Angelus Mutinensis. The decoration on the boards and title page of the present edition are from these tables. (Jacket).
