As my enthusiasm grew, so did my pile of papers - colored with dyes named indigo, leaf green, tobacco, ultramarine, madder purple, bergamot yellow. Doing this work opened up a whole new way of making art and ultimately, making books. This is the story of how these papers came into being and what I hope I'll be exploring in more depth in future Warwick Press work.".

An interesting copy. Laid in is a note from Carol Blinn to Greg Campbell: "This copy was owned by an old friend who moved to Mexico and asked me to sell it. The two copies from Hugh's archives are gone." On the colophon Blinn wrote in 1976: "For Edward from Carol with affection." And in 2009 she writes again underneath the first inscription: "and now it goes into the hands of Greg Campbell, my binding hero! All good wishes & affection, Carol." Also laid in is the original postcard prospectus.

Zustand: Fine. First edition of this delightful miniature book about Webby, an imaginative and mischievous duck. Frieda Fitzenmeyer, the author of Warwick Press's ONCE UPON A TIME series, is described by Blinn as "a force to be reckoned with"; she is actually Blinn's alter-ego. Fitzenmeyer and Blinn have "collaborated" on eight duck-themed ONCE UPON A TIME books, of which this is the first. 3'' x 2.5''. Original light blue wrapper with flap, saddle-stitched. Hand-colored illustrations throughout. [16] pages. Signed in pencil by author and illustrator to colophon. Sharp and clean. Signed.
