Hardcover. Zustand: Fine. First Edition. 72 pages. "Posed in the presence of death and paid for in pain, are these living drawings and paintings that Clayton Knight brings back from that No-Man's sky to which young fighting blood lifted the banner of chivalry from the gore and mud of mass warfare." - from Introduction. Handsome colour illustration and bright gilt lettering upon navy blue front board. Bright white label on backstrip is present and in superb condition. Uncirculated former military library copy. Fortunately the only markings are a bit of writing and a small ink stamp atop the front free endpaper. Exterior still amazingly bright and fresh with very light wear. An exceptionally well-preserved copy. Knight, Clayton (illustrator).
