Originally published anonymously one of the authors of this book was a controversial industrialist by the name Elliott Springs who wrote aviation books as a hobby They were only printed in limited quantities and today are very difficult to find This book is the edited diary of the other author John MacGavock Grider and follows his time as an American pilot during the First World War before his death in combat being shot down behind the German lines This beautiful early edition is bound in light blue with gilt lettering to the spine and gilt detail to the front cover It is illustrated beautifully throughout with black and white drawings Additionally a previous owner has pasted in supplimentary black and white photographs as well as a review of the book There is also a letter containing information about the book and its authors Overall this book is in very good condition with clean and bright pages all throughout There is some rubbing to the spine and the extremities of the cover Would be the ideal addition to an aviation collection pp 277. book.

Collection of eleven vintage photographs from the 1976-1977 syndicated television series, including ten 4 x 5 inch color photographs and one 8 x 10 inch black and white photograph. Most with mimeo snipes and provenance labels affixed to the versos. Celebrities depicted with Dolly Parton include: Tennesse Ernie Ford, Robert Keeshan (as Captain Kangaroo), Anne Murray, Randy Parton, Kenny Rogers, Jim Stafford, and Anson Williams. The first-run syndication country-music variety series, "Dolly," premiered on September 13, 1976 and aired for one season of 26 episodes. Despite the show's very high ratings, the series concluded after Parton asked out of her contract for a variety of reasons. Parton would host another variety show of the same name on ABC in 1987-1988, which aired for 22 episodes, premiering on September 27, 1987 and ending on May 7, 1988. Ten 4 x 5 inch photographs.
