Les Pachybrachis de France presents for the first time drawings of the spermathecae of females for all the species known from France as well as photographs and drawings of all male aedeagi. Les espèces du genre Pachybrachis se caractérisent par une très grande variabilité intraspécifique des taches jaunes ou noires, y compris au sein d'une même population. Cette variabilité impose l'examen systématique des genitalia mâles et femelles. Si l'étude des génitalia mâles a fait l'objet de plusieurs travaux notamment ceux de Burlini et Warchalowski, la détermination des femelles isolées était pratiquement impossible.
