The book measures 30 cm by 24 cm by 3.2 cm. Presentation inscription to front free endpaper. Head and foot of spine rubbed. Spine slightly dulled. Corners of fore edges of boards bumped and rubbed, exposing underlying board. Lower board rubbed and partially soiled. There would appear to have been some water and/or ink staining to the top edges of many of the pages. Consequently, they have stuck together at the top inside edge, resulting in some small areas of loss to several pages. Front and rear free endpapers lightly tanned. Some light foxing throughout. Overall, the book is in just about a good condition. Signed by Author.

Lenotre was a narrative historian who specialised in the hidden histories and personal stories of the French Revolution. Illustrated with maps, portraits, facsimile documents etc. Published in the Mémoires et Souvenirs sur la Révolution et l'Empire series. Condition: A very good copy. There is light surface wear to the joints and some rubbing to the spine ends. The contents remain well-bound and clean, and the book is in strong readable condition. Some dulling to the engraved bookplate and some residue from the glue where it has been pasted in but it remains attractive. All plates present as per the index.
