Gilt lettering. Hinges are moderately cracked with exposed netting. Clean pages with noticeable tanning and foxing throughout. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Gilt lettering is darkened. Moderate peeling and splits to spine and corners. Scuffing to edges. Visible wear marks to boards.

The spine leather is splitting away at the hinge foot for about 4 inches and at the rear top 2 inches. The marbled paper has losses on both boards. Interior pastedown has water stains and scribbles in pencil and the rear has pencil drawings and a long note.
