Decorative blind ruling to the leather spine; pebbled cloth-covered boards. All edges marbled, with matching marbled endpapers. Mild partial splitting to endpapers at the hinges. Illustrated with four tissue-guarded plates, including a frontis portrait of Lincoln. Prior owner's ink ownership stamp as "Justice of the Peace, Eden Township, Lancaster, PA" appears on the second blank endpage, the blank area at the top of the preface page, and the first page of the primary text. Scattered light toning and spotting to the text block, with foxing to the plates and adjacent leaves. Mild rubbing to the leather spine and corner tips.
