Cloth. Zustand: Good. First Edition. Illustrated, very thick octavo, pp x, 502, the rear hinge cracking slightly, otherwise very clean and sound internally, an ex-library copy with yraces of a number having been roughly removed from the front endpaper, a faint stamp on the title page, a lending ticjet on the rear endpaper. The red cloth is slightly used, but the spine is very faded and has an unnatractive large shelf label.

Hardcover. Zustand: Good. No Jacket. 521 pages in good condition. EX-LIBRARY with the usual stamps and markings, as well as a pouch on the bpdep. Pages are clean and unmarked with black and white plates throughout. Some plates are detached from the binding and are worn around the edges. Page edges are lightly smudged and darkened. Bound in red cloth with gilt titles. Faded and worn around the edges. Spine is faded, scuffed, lightly scratched. Torn and darkened near the tail where a library label used to be.
