M. Christmas 192 with a blessing from ----'. A handwritten letter for the prior owner is loosely inserted into the text, stating, 'I send you a little 'tall' blue book for some table beside you'.Undated, so dated using the dated ink inscription from the prior owner, similar editions found on WorldCat, as well as from the publication history for the publisher and bookbinder.Collated, complete. Bound in full-calf by J & E Bumpus. Externally, very smart. Light rubbing to the extremities and the spine, with discolouration and fading to the top edge of boards and the spine. Offsetting to endpapers from leather binding. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean, with light age-toning to margins. Prior owner's ink inscription to recto of front free endpaper. Very Good. book.
