A very nice copy. Inscribed by the author to Angelo Goffredo, who was serving on the Missouri in 1950 when it ran aground. There is also a typed letter signed by Butler thanking Guffredo for introducing him to some of the crew members. "Guffy" is also mentioned by Butler in the book's preface. The paste downs and end pages are illustrated from the USCG Survey Chart that locates the Missouri's final two courses prior to her grounding.
