Boards bumped and scuffed, and… front board dampstained and lightly warped; front pastedown soiled. Front free endpaper lacking and preliminary pages loose and dampstained. Pages toned and numerous chips, tears, and lacking corners. Additional dampstaining and a few loose pages throughout. Includes many trappings of its early owners, Walter and Lucy Brownley, including a lovely gifter's inscription and well-used family record pages (much of the notation made by someone with a clear flair for decorative penmanship), the receipt for the original purchase of the book, a clipping of hair, a badly faded 19th century photo of a baby, and several prayer cards, poems, and colorful clippings. The final section, "Hymns" ends at page 64 with Hymn V, and may be lacking the final pages. Inquire if you need further information.
