The series presents an exciting range of children's tales, illustrated by eminent illustrators, such as Walter Crane, Harrison Weir and Frederick William Keyl, and printed in colour by the Leighton Brothers, Dalziel Brothers and Kronheim & Co. Externally, generally smart and good examples for their age.
