Marbled endpapers. Top edge gilt. Loosely inserted is a hand written letter from J. G. Bain, on company headed notepaper dated Christmas 1925, presenting this book to a customer. An interesting and beautiful edition with the plates showing not just characters from the tale but also views of the towns, villages and views around Exmoor that act as a backdrop for the novel..
