Hardcover. Zustand: Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Near Fine. 1st Edition. Hardcover First edition a Fine Copy For almost 30 years Brigitte Nielsen has been part of the jet-set romantically involved with international film stars, beautiful, and rich but life has not always been full of Hollywood glitz. In this compelling and honest biography, Brigitte describes how she survived incredible lows, including a suicide attempt and alcoholism. From a normal upbringing in an ordinary middle class family in the Copenhagen suburbs, she grew into a tall and skinny teenager, her looks soon transforming her life at the age of 16 into that of a glamorous international supermodel. She had four marriages and four amazing children. But her life eventually became unbearable because of a violent husband, and years of misuse of alcohol. In recent years Brigitte has returned to the spotlight appearing in dozens of films, recorded two music albums, and starred in several reality television shows. This is an honest account of the dark side of the life in the public eye, the pressures of being a mother, how she lost herself, and how she then found the courage to face life and regain what she had lost. Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu.

Die Singles My Girl (My Guy) (Cover des Temptations- und Mary-Wells-Klassikers) und How Could You Let Me Go vermochten Nielsen nicht als Sängerin zu etablieren. Danach pausierte Nielsen, bevor sie kurz vor und im neuen Jahrtausend wieder mit De Walden ins Studio ging: 2000 und 2001 erschienen unter dem Pseudonym Gitta die House-Singles No More Turning Back, Tic Toc und Everyb.…

Zustand: Sehr gut | Seiten: 444 | Sprache: Englisch | Produktart: Bücher | Economic growth and globalisation create traffic growth, leading to congestion, which again increases travel times and costs. Traffic growth also increases CO2 emissions, air pollution, accidents, and noise. So, clearly there is a need to manage traffic, taking into account that there is a need for transportation; hence it cannot be restricted without costs. Road pricing, where motorists pay for driving on specific roads, is an instrument that may efficiently reduce the negative impacts. But despite technological development and the efforts of the EU, it is still not widely used. Apparently, more research-based knowledge about the positive and negative consequences of road pricing is required. This volume is a collection of research papers on the use of road pricing.
