This is a nice original Election Ballot Paper for a Bridgnorth Council Election held on November 1st 1843, the ballot paper is filled in and signed by a Thomas Wallater of Friar's Lane in the Parish of St. Leonard's. One of the people who was standing for election was the local printer Thomas Edkins who may well have also printed this ballot paper. The paper measures 19cm by 15 cm approx., CONDITION Some staining at top corners, central fold lines and a pin hole from where it had been place on a paper spike. The theatre is now long gone; it originally stood on the corner of Whitburn Street on the land that is now occupied by Sainsburys Supermarket in the town. The poster measures 22 inches by 8.5 inches approx. CONDITON The poster is sadly trimmed at edges with loss along top edges and left-hand edge, otherwise condition is as seen. VERY RARE ORIGINAL BROADSIDE POSTER Advertising A PUBLIC MEETING HELD AT BRIDGNORTH TOWN HALL TO CONSIDER THE SETTING UP OF AN ANNUAL AGRICULTURAL AND POULTRY SHOW Instead of the Horse Races Friday 12th January1853 this is a very rare surviving poster advertising a meeting to be held at Bridgnorth Town Hall in Shropshire on Friday 12th January 1853 to discuss the setting up of an Annual Agricultural Show instead of the Horse Races, the poster was printed in Bridgnorth by Rowley Brothers, and measures 17.75 inches by 11 inches approx. some creases, small tears and a line of punched holes on left hand edge else in good condition will be posted rolled in a tube, this is a lighter item, overseas shipping costs will be reduced where possible.

RARE ORIGINAL WANTED POSTER FOR A HEINOUS CRIME AGAINST THE PEOPLE OF THE SHROPSHIRE TOWN OF BRIDGNORTH 1866 This is a very nice item, an original very rare poster headed "Depredations at the Bromley Hill Reservoir for Supply of Water to the Town" dated November 22nd 1866 on Sunday Night last, a most wanton and outrageous attempt was made by some person or persons to deprive the town of the usual supply of Water, by breaking up the covers to the outlet Water Pipe, used for emptying and cleansing the Reservoir NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN That every effort will be used to detect and apprehend the Offenders, against whom the full penalties of the Law will be enforced Signed J. W. McMichael, Mayor. the poster was published in the town by Rowley Printers of the High Street, and measures 15 inches by 10 inches approx. a few creases and a few small puncture holes else in very good condition, poster will be posted rolled in a tube.

Each of the two items attributed to Wright in pencil note on reverse. Both in good condition, lightly aged. ONE: On 11 x 17.5 cm piece of paper. At head: 'Book Plate of Morrall A[?] vox stellarum vox Dei'. At foot: 'M. J. Morrall'. (Unlikely to be the Brooklyn architect of this name active at this time.) Up left-hand margin: 'Mr. Edward Morrall / Mayor 1885-6'. Down right-hand margin: 'Presented to Mr Edward Morrall Quay House Bridgnorth'. Full achievement, from crest to motto, with colours indicated. TWO: On back of 9 x 11 cm printed 'at Home' card. Text at foot: 'Three Roses on bend are red'.
