Verso of the printed cover contains the "Table des Matieres" and the rear cover (recto & verso) is taken by the "Extrait du catalogue de la Librairie Phalansterienne." Mathieu Briancourt, militant and propagandist of the ideas of Fourier, whose philosophy he expounded, explained and promoted in a number of publications, especially Fourier's ideas on the organisation of work. In this work, in the form of dialogues, Briancourt discusses Fourierist conceptions of work and the organisation of labour.
