Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - In 1999, USCINCSPACE/J5 commissioned a study through the Institute for National Security Studies asking the question, 'How should the USCINCSPACE go about shaping the region of space in accordance with the National Military Strategy ' The research question went on to ask if there are any systematic approaches used by other CINCs to shape their AOR that can be used by USCINCSPACE to shape the region of space. This study analyzes one way in which the USCINSSPACE might best shape the medium of space. The 1997 National Military Strategy builds on the premise that the United States will remain globally engaged to shape the international environment and create conditions favorable to US interests and global security. Does this include shaping the region of space Terms like shaping, region, AOR, and aerospace have different contextual meanings and often raise emotional responses. This paper places those terms in their proper context. Finally, this paper directly applies the geographic CINC model for shaping as it is described in the US National Military Strategy to the space medium and determines its applicability for the USCINCSPACE. This paper recommends that the USCINCSPACE adopt the use of the guidelines given by the geographic CINC model, as they are described in the US National Military Strategy, to shape the space medium. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it. Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - WHY SEVEN - Following an Ancient Pattern Through TimeWhy does the number seven appear so often throughout human history From the earliest civilizations to sacred traditions, ancient astronomy, mythology, and the mysteries of the human experience, seven has held a remarkable place in cultures separated by thousands of miles and thousands of years. But why seven In WHY SEVEN - Following an Ancient Pattern Through Time, B. K. Anderson takes readers on a fascinating journey through archaeology, ancient knowledge, forgotten traditions, and the development of human civilization. Beginning with the earliest evidence and moving forward through history, Anderson explores how ancient peoples observed the heavens, organized their worlds, preserved knowledge, and gave special meaning to a number that continues to capture our imagination.Along the way, the book examines recurring patterns, sacred symbolism, cultural connections, and the possibility that some traditions preserve echoes of humanity's earliest attempts to understand existence.Distinguishing historical evidence from interpretation and speculation, Anderson invites readers to question familiar explanations and consider new possibilities without losing sight of what archaeology and ancient records actually reveal. This is not a book that claims to have all the answers. It is an invitation to investigate, to question, and to discover.Across civilizations, across centuries, and across the boundaries of belief, one question remains: Why seven.…

Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - WHY SEVEN Following an Ancient Pattern Through TimeWhy does the number seven appear again and again throughout human history Seven stars. Seven sages. Seven gates. Seven days. Seven appears in ancient stories, sacred traditions, astronomical observations, and cultural beliefs separated by thousands of years. But where did its significance begin And why has humanity continued to carry this particular number forward In WHY SEVEN -Following an Ancient Pattern Through Time, author B. K. Anderson takes readers on an extraordinary journey through history, archaeology, mythology, and the enduring mysteries of human civilization.Beginning before the invention of writing, Anderson follows the earliest evidence of human counting and symbolic thought into the ancient civilizations of Mesopotamia, Egypt, India, the biblical world, Greece, and Rome. Along the way, he investigates the Seven Sages of Eridu, the seven gates of Inanna's descent, the celestial wanderers, ancient flood traditions, sacred calendars, and the recurring association between seven and knowledge. The investigation then travels beyond the ancient Mediterranean and Near East, exploring independent traditions in the Americas, the psychology of numbers, and the ways human beings have deliberately organized their world into groups of seven. But this book asks a deeper question.Did ancient civilizations recognize seven in the natural world Did they inherit its importance from earlier peoples Did distant cultures independently discover similar patterns Or did seven become so deeply associated with completeness that later generations began creating new patterns around it Rather than presenting speculation as established history, Anderson carefully distinguishes archaeological evidence, ancient written records, cultural traditions, and modern spiritual interpretations. Readers are encouraged to examine the evidence, consider the possibilities, and reach their own conclusions. What begins as an investigation into a single number gradually becomes an exploration of human memory, the.…
