An account of midshipman Maurice Hewson's timefighting the French & his capture in September 1803. He spent 5 years in the Fortress at Verdun before escaping, only to be re-captured & sent to the dreaded Citadelle de Bitche from where he escaped in 1808. 825 grams.…
