Title page printed in red and black with central vignette. 8vo. Cloth is a little tired, rubbed and rounded at corners and tips of a sunned spine, a few mild marks. Shadowing and faint spotting on endpapers, tissue guard toned with offset toning in margins of frontispiece, hint of toning in margins throughout. A very pleasing vintage volume, elegantly produced albeit well used, providing a compelling guide to bookbinding practices up to the end of the 19th century.
