Surface stain to the bottom edge of the rear board, sun fading to the areas on the spine where the dust wrapper has pieces of paper missing. Good condition book in Good condition dust wrapper with internally repaired tears across the spine ends and corners, spine sun faded. Together with Lord Thomson, the Air Minister, Sefton Brancker was killed when the airship R101 crashed near Beauvais, France on 5 October 1930, during its maiden voyage to India. Includes original 4½'' x 6½'' monochrome photograph of Sefton Brancker at a charity fête in London holding an aeroplane and with signed contemporary inscription on the reverse by unknown 'Here is the photograph taken at your stall, with all good wishes to you and to the North and West London Branch', the reverse also has an indigo stamp from 'London News Agency Photos Ltd.' Sefton Brancker has SIGNED below his image on the photograph 'Sefton Brancker.' Dust wrapper supplied in archive acetate film protection, it does not adhere to the book or to the dust wrapper.
