Illustrated by A L Bowley; S J Cash; (illustrator). 4to; Hbk - mounted on cotton cloth (stated in gold gilt on front) ; large circular colour paste on of 2 cows on front cover; cloth has worn at corners and spine is crinkled; black endpapers - cracking at hinge; The ABC is of animals, mostly in colour, and some which were outlines 'colouired in' by a previous owner; this is then followed by the story of Dame Wiggins of Lee, illustrated by A L Bowley; alternate pages have colour plates; some of the in text line drawings have again been painted in, quite neatly; G+; no sign of date but looks late Victorian/early 20th Century; Could not locate in British Library records. ; 4to 11" - 13" tall.
